On the Watch, Jæren

Eilif Peterssen was a Norwegian painter who worked between the naturalist tradition and a more atmospheric Symbolist approach — his Norwegian subjects engaging with the specific landscape and light of his homeland through a sensibility shaped by extended time in Paris and Munich.
